Mayweather has a right to his opinion but I don't agree with him. Fights are scored by rounds and Peterson lost lots of rounds by staying completely out of fighting range. Sure Garcia couldn't hit because he was too far away. He was NOT making Garcia miss and then making him pay. He was making Garcia miss and throwing next to nothing in return. In those type rounds neither fighter landed much but Garcia landed a few more and was at least trying to make it a fight so he won those rounds. Later in the fight Peterson took the fight to Garcia and clearly out fought him and won those rounds. If Peterson had done that more often he would have deserved to win. The fight I saw Garcia won by a point or two.
