I actually spoke to Joe 14 weeks out from the Kessler fight about this and Joe's reply was ...just the big names and Carl wasn't . For his part Carl will struggle in the history books as they will show he wasn't even the best super middleweight of his time , he should take Ward up on his offer and 02 it but like Carl say's to beat Ward he would have to stop him and as Carl knows that's easier said than done and i've always said a prime Calzaghe would pose the same problem for Carl.
