Effective aggression... Coming forward isn't scoring points, trapping your opponent against the ropes, throwing and touching your opponent, out working/ coming in behind a jab is all effective (effective being the key word) aggression which was missing from Garcia 1-4 heck the entire fight but two or three rounds.
Defense... Is there a question who had the better defense throughout the fight?
Ring generalship... Is there a question about who couldn't corner whom or who picked the pace of the fight? I really don't see an argument for Garcia.

First and second watch I gave my toss up rounds to Peterson but for argument sake we will say they can go either way (this is my 4th watch now lol). You have to give Garcia (and that's what it is, giving because he darn sure didn't steal or even work for them) every close round to have him win. This fight reminded me of donaire rigo, moving forward without throwing punches doesn't win rounds (even if your opponent is only throwing 20 punches a round) but willie pep would tell you lateral movement coupled with head movement (defense and generalship) does. Each round save 5 and 6 should have been at worst a draw following the scoring criteria. The only bias on my part is expecting more from Garcia, being from philly, and hating Peterson (before the fight).
