If anything, I'd expect Keith Thurman (even if Porter is the right opponent) to end up on the assumed Deontay Wilder card for July, as the co-feature to the 'heavyweight champion of the world'.
Yea I heard about both fights and at first I found it odd that Thurman would fight in Cincy too. But they named Porter as the opponent and he's from Ohio. Thurman doesn't really have a home base. He's from Florida but doesn't fight there. Lately he's fought in Vegas, NY, California, Texas and even fought his first HBO fight in Cincy so it could potentially happen. I give Thurman the edge but it would prob be the best on paper PBC fight yet imo (Garcia-Peterson being the other)

Lol so broner can jump from 35 to 47 and not be too small for 47 against real 147lb'ers, but barthelemy goes from 130 to 140 and fight broner all of a sudden he's too small for 140.

      Love the logic :/

don't know why, because the whole family has been in boxing forever, but ranses is a horrible fighter, i don't think he'll be able to carry any power in a 2 division jump. unless broner takes him out early, they are both going to stink up the place.

Probably because he hasn't had one notable win at 135 or 140..

Who was the guy he beat above 135? I honestly didn't know he moved up

Somebody else posted this, still not believing this one until someone reliable reports it. Right now it is just a Twitter Rumor. Make no sense for Barthelemy to make that big of a Leap that fast with that being his first official fight at 140 coming from 2 Weight Classes Down even though is last fight was at 135-137

But we shall see, maybe they will be on the SAME CARD but them fighting different opponents.

If it is true, I got Barthelemy schooling him but not getting the Decision. I think that is a AWFUL stylistic match up for Broner, too flat footed for Barthelemy even with him coming up in weight I still think his overall skills are Superior enough for him to just outbox Broner. John David Jackson puts a gameplan in place for Barthelemy that exposes every weakness Broner has. If he goes with JDJ as his Trainer again.

i dont think barthelemy is that skilled honestly. i think hes very robotic in fact. broner is more dynamic, but like u said, its a very tough fight for him because of his flat footedness. i question the matchmaking on this one too, from both sides.

Not sure which fight you see of his but Barthelemy is extremely Skilled, also has good Defense. He can use his Size and Reach advantage and he is also very good Inside despite being the taller fighter.
