Comments Thread For: David Price-Dereck Chisora Showdown in The Works

Dereck Chisora and David Price are in talks for an all-British heavyweight showdown, but contrary to some reports the fight is not a done deal just yet. BoxingScene understands that the two fighters are discussing the fight after it was mentioned as a possibility by promoter Frank Warren during an interview with the Daily Mail in March. Although the fight makes sense, contracts have not been signed so it is still in the formative stages at this point.

            I like that matchup.

I expect Price to win, wouldn't be entirely surprised if Chisora caught him though.

            The loser is done.

Price by KO. Fury had the blueprint on how to beat Chisora and wore him down to the KO. Price would do the same but the KO would come by an explosive right.

Price would wear himself out if he tried to move half as much as Fury.
If Chisora is motivated & has a good camp then he should get Price out of there.
Price can't fight under pressure & that's what a motivated, fit Delboy would bring

Kind of a meh fight considering how shot Chisora has looked since Haye, and Price not much better since Thompson. Too bad this match didn't happen in 2011. And if Price wins, he'll again be clamouring for that Fury fight which he absolutely does not deserve yet.
