This is still a good fight. Haymon running out of options for in-house fights soon. Either that, or he needs to boost his ratings with something. Maybe they figure this may do that a bit.

You know...sometimes boxers learn from mistakes and past losses; sometimes they can regroup and become better.

I'd love to see Thurman vs Porter... good matchup.

Because Cotto would be giving up 15 pounds... and he's fighting Geale not Heiland. Thurman should handle Porter easy have you watched either of them fight? Porter leaves himself wide open and lunges in, Thruman will counter and KO him at some point in the fight. Porter is a C class fighter at best, Thurman has potential to be P4P top 5 in my opinion.

Porter is not as a crafty as Guerrero and pretty one dimensional, he'll give Thurman a decent fight but can't see him really being a threat. If Porter thinks he can just bullrush Thurman with those wide looping shots, he'll probably end up on the canvas.
Exactly. Porter is going to come in with no defense and sloppy and Thurman will unload with counter shots and it will result in a KO.

It's not a bad fight, but I know the outcome. It's no different to me than Cotto/GGG, I already know the outcome. Most people on here like seeing some get their ass kicked instead of seeing competitive fights, I like competition not sparring sessions.

Also, it would be a champ at 147 vs a top 5 WW right? Why are you guys complaining about Cotto then? It's a MW champ vs a top 5 MW...

This site = Unless I heard of the guy it's a BS fight.

Just yesterday Porter was talking about facing Bradley in the IBF eliminator so we shall see. Thurman thumps up Porter by the way. He has many more dimensions to his fight game.

A good fight like this wont be respected cause itll be on PBC.

Thurman's a good fighter but not everybody agrees with your position. He may be better than Porter but to say he's levels above him is a bit extreme. It's inches not feet.
