Thurman fan, but I favor Porter in this fight.

Guerrero fight showed that Thurman doesn't know how to tie up his opponent on the inside.

It is a bad fight because I already who is going to win and yes, Porter lost to a top 5 WW but he lost badly. He won what 3 rounds? I was a huge Porter fan too, I saw him fight with like 10 fights and thought he had a lot of potential, instead he kept training with his dad and he hasn't gotten any better. I have no interest in watching fights I already know the outcome to.

It would be closer and more competitive than people think, I don't know why Porter's so underrated on here.

Porter would have a hard time getting inside Thurman. Look how cautious Guerrero was against Thurman, he didn't want to be too aggressive and get caught coming in. And when Porter does close the distance, Thurman will use his feet to stay out of range, Brook isn't very mobile so Porter didn't have much trouble closing in on him.

I see Thurman winning this fight 8-4 or 7-5, but a Porter win isn't out of the question.

Good fight, way better than a Berto bout. Porter is good enough to give One Time another nice test but too limited to really be a treat, I like Thurman by clear cut decision.

lol by having one or two good rounds and being dominated the rest of the fight? Robert Guerrero was very hesitant to try to come inside and work until he was dropped and went for broke. Still, he pretty much smothered himself and Thurman and didn't really land anything significant. Porter is not as a crafty as Guerrero and pretty one dimensional, he'll give Thurman a decent fight but can't see him really being a threat. If Porter thinks he can just bullrush Thurman with those wide looping shots, he'll probably end up on the canvas.

Yeah it was a tune-up, Bone was literally a last minute replacement. But he actually looked like a pretty crafty decent fighter, cracked Porter with a few good shots.

It looks like Spence could get a step up fight on the undercard if it gets made

This would be an actual test on Thurmans true boxing ability IMO. Outboxing slow footed dudes isnt impressive to me. Porter will be on him from the get go and can actually close distant. Great fight. Hope it happens.
