It would be nice if the Canelo hype ended.

How is Canelo hyped he has beaten two of the best 154 pounders in the world (Lara & Trout) and is willing to fight anybody.

I'm very excited for this fight. We'll finally get to Canelo's chin tested. The only big punchers he's faced in the last 4 years were Mosley and Angulo, who were both shot to **** and never landed anything effective.

If Canelo is at risk of losing to a guy of Kirklands "ability" or lack there of, that speaks more to the quality of Canelo. I think he's a B class fighter and should walk through Kirkland, this is nothing but a glorified sparring session if you ask me. Canelo vs chinny, part-time fighter shouldn't have "Canelo should look out" as a headline.

What don't you agree with? That Canelo should have no problems with Kirkland if he's a real world class fighter? Canelo was supposed to be this killer with devastating power and he was a lot bigger than Floyd, did any of that matter? No, because Floyd had the skill. If Canelo actually has the goods, he shoudln't have any problems with Kirkland, the guy is perfect for Canelo's style.

Sounds like youve never watched Canelo fight and just read into the "hype". A little advice to a fellow boxing fan - its better to guage a fighter by watching him fight and seeing how he handles/reacts to situations.

Yeah, he does well as a counter puncher. When he has to chase someone he looks like a ****ing amateur. Go watch him against Angulo and then against Lara. Then again... maybe it has nothing to do with styles, Angulo is a D class fighter and Lara is B class, Canelo just might not be any good.

Except Kirkland DOESN'T have Wolfe so he WON'T be as dangerous as I would have hoped. Wolfe gets him in a mental state to kill another man. Will his other trainers do that?
