There actually wasn’t much disagreement among the three official judges when it came to the opening half of Saturday night’s bout between Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson.

While Peterson and his camp feel they deserved to win those rounds due to Peterson’s ability to elude Garcia and make him miss, the judges consistently favored Garcia.

All three — Don Ackerman, Kevin Morgan and Steve Weisfeld — gave rounds 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 to Garcia.

The only disagreement was in Round 3. Ackerman and Morgan had it 10-9 for Peterson, while Weisfeld was in the minority at 10-9 for Garcia. In fact, Weisfeld gave all six rounds of the first half of the bout to Garcia.

Man anyone calling this a gift for garcia is crazy this is as close to the wire as you can get and Peterson has only himself to blame for losing this one. Running and putty patting doesn't win the fights.

Maybe garcia wasn't landing completely flush all the time and hitting elbow then body but it still count more then the putty patt punches Peterson was throwing in the judges eyes. I had garcia wining by a point. But I could see it either way.. or more likely a draw is what I would of called it

And looking at the Unofficial score card of Steve Farhood I noticed something.

He would give the rounds I clearly thought were Peterson's rounds to Danny and Peterson rounds I clearly thought were Danny's.

His score card was like almost trolling.

He was doing the opposite of what the commentators and alot of people were seeing.

I think your mistaken about round 6. That was the first round Peterson didn't move and I thought Danny landed the more telling blows.

If Garcia did nothing those first five rounds then Peterson wasn't even there, literally. It's like Garcia fought himself the first 6 rounds. Peterson literally was not there. Garcia won those rounds by default. Look at Peterson punch stats through 6-rounds, they are shameful and pitiful. Just because Peterson was dancing around and making Garcia miss, that doesn't mean he was boxing. He was making a ****ing fool out of himself for the first half of the fight.

"Garcia was hitting nothing but air the first 7 rounds" problem with that is that he threw more and landed more than Pete. What was pete doing the whole time he was making garcia miss ? Countering?... Not even.
You really can't give him those rounds based on the fact he made him miss when Danny still landed around 30% of his shots and Peterson barely threw anything.

I had Garcia up clearly 5-1 after 6. I literally wanted to go on a rant about how I never want to see Peterson again in my life after 6-rounds. That all changed of course, after the sixth round.

And FYI, I'm not known for being a fan of Garcia. I'm just calling it how I saw it.
