Should boxing implement a 13th round if and only if after 12 rounds fight is a draw?

If two fighters fight out a draw, call it a draw.

Why don't we want the draw? If it's a draw?

If it shouldn't be a draw, and the issue is that the judges are bent, then that's a completely different issue.
The did away with even rounds to try to prevent draws.
We wouldn't have 6-6 if the title fights are 13 or 15 rounds with no even rounds .

What's wrong with draws in world title fights ?
Is that even a question ?
We'd like a winner to settle the fight .
12 rounds are too short anyway.

You want a winner. You think 12 rounds is too short.

Tell that to the poor bastards slurring their speech in their later years.

A draw is a draw. Plenty of sports have them. Recognise that two fighters came together, couldn't be separated, and both leave with their record intact.

Yes. And they too, want a winner.
The Broner-Vargas was an example of that .

Name one-on-one sports that have draws .
How would you like it on tennis?
Did any of them complain after 5 hours and they were still doing the tie-breaker?
UFC has 3 and 5 rounds to avoid those draws as much as possible.

And you still have no idea why title fights were reduced to 12 rounds .

Draws aren't very common so no need to change.
I think their should be more judges which would do the exact same thing.
The odds of a draw with 5 judges is very small.

sure why not but boxing has bigger problems. most fans dont even realize the a-side chooses the judges for the fight. why are these decisions so strange...i dont know!

No. Makes no sense. We didnt like the outcome so lets try again.

This is like broner getting non stop title shots or lomachenko getting a title shot right adter salido beat that ass. Its just a bunch of Do-overs till the desired results is achieved.

If the fight is a draw its a draw, a L an L, a W an W and its perfectly fine as is.

This isn't tennis. It's not golf. It's guys taking shots to the head.

They'd fight until they couldn't stand if we let them.

It's obvious from my post that I know why fights were reduced to 12 rounds but, go on, give me your conspiracy theory. Network TV?

Roone Arledge told Jose Khadaffy Sulaiman to reduce title fights to 12 rounds so it would fit the 1-hour time slot and so he wouldn't local affiliates whenever title fights like Holmes-Cobb go the 15 rd distance.
Safety was NOT the reason .
It was the escape goat .
The Mancini-Kim fight was the excuse .
Even though that was a WBA title fight .
WBA did not reduced their title fights to 12 rounds till years later after We Be Corrupt did .
But, go on, preach your boxing safety sermons.
12 rounds sure didn't save Kiko Bejines who Sulaiman sent to his death.
