It was not at all surprising that Barry Hunter didn’t agree with the judges who scored Danny Garcia a majority decision winner over Hunter’s fighter, Lamont Peterson.

He’d seen Peterson negate Garcia before taking over down the stretch.

“He [Garcia] throw a lot of wide shots, a lot of winding punches. He was aggressive early, but if you look at the fight most of the blows he threw were either glancing blows or he missed the shot,” Hunter said at the post-fight press conference.

My opinion is if Peterson started out the bully like he did in the last third of the fight, he would have won on the cards fairly easily. And might have even stopped him.

he shoulda went into that 'kill' mode about 3 rounds earlier and he gets the nod...i truly believe that the booing from the movement swayed judges to give early rounds to Garcia...personally, i thought Peterson did enough to win

Garcia is just another hyped up wannabe star. He gets worked over in fights and wins because his promoter has a lot of cash and thinks he is a marketable Puerto Rican. The dude gets sparked out at 147 but I'm sure Hymen will create the Garcia weight division of 143 so that legit WW's will have to drop in weight to challenge him and JWW boxers will have to move up.
