I think what was meant there is that he did not spar with southpaws in his preparation for Sanders fight.

...Don't see how it could possibly be much worse than that beating. I also doubt Wlad would get on his hands and knees and practically service Lennox after the fight while wiping the sweat from his brow. Now that was the sign of a severely beaten man who was glad to get out of that fight with his marbles still partialy intact.
