Comments Thread For: Peterson Says He Didn't Feel Any Of Garcia's Punches

NEW YORK – Danny Garcia beat Lucas Matthysse, but according to Lamont Peterson the undefeated Philadelphia fighter isn’t in Matthysse’s class as a puncher.

Argentina’s Matthysse dropped Peterson three times on his way to a third-round technical knockout in May 2013 in Atlantic City. Peterson (33-3-1, 17 KOs), of Washington, D.C., wasn’t affected nearly as much by Garcia’s hardest punches during a majority decision defeat to Garcia in their 12-round welterweight fight Saturday night at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

He was rolling a lot and a lot of shots connected with the shoulders before connecting with his face. That was some good defense.

Peterson also said that was the least contact he ever had in a fight. I believe him.

Danny Garcia is a power puncher with no power.

He's flat footed, slow and painfully ordinary for people to have had the audacity to call him a "P4P" fighter after beating the biggest hypejob of the past 3 years: The brawling caveman who people sweaarrr has so much "skill" (lol)- Lucas Matthyssee.

Very true. Garcia landed only a few decent power punches to Peterson's head, his best shots were to the body but nothing grimacing there either. Peterson meanwhile teed off in the last couple rounds on Garcia

            Cheater...........

Once a cheater, always a cheater. There is a chance Peterson was juiced again. He was HUGE last night and punched with power. Since when? Before the fight he was beaming with confidence, saying he would KO Danny late in the fight. He also had a 12-15 pound weight advantage and all you morons can do is HATE on Garcia. Smh. It was a good fight and good win for Garcia. Nobody told Peterson's HUGE self to run away the first 7 rounds. What was he running from?? He looked ******. Garcia also displayed responsible defense while he was running and racking up points in the process.

Then you should have put more pressure and more early and stop fooling aroung the ring. You gave the fight to Garcia on a golden plate. And I don't like Garcia at all.

Cotto said the same about the Margarito fights, when asked to gauge the difference in power from plaster to non plaster.

"When you are in the fight, your adrenaline is running so you don't ever really feel the punches..." ~Cotto

Didn't feel any punches yet decided to tap ranch around the ring for the entire fight. I'd never watch him again. And that's saying something when it's for free. Sorry Al Haymon but this fight card ******!

                    Would not be surprised.

What I find about "fans" is that in the end, it's always about agendas, and nationality. So I laugh when I read some of the posts from Texas, California and Argentina, "Peterson won doe!" I laugh. Dudes are mad at Danny for life and you gotta love it.
