Quillin is never fighting GGG - heh, everybody knows that.

I doubt Cotto would ever fight Quillin either.

Lee would fight anybody, and he's guaranteed good paydays for his next 3-5 fights regardless if he loses the title against Saunders. Him and Macklin have a guaranteed big-seller.

And I think Cotto believes he sees somethig in Lee that makes him an easy opponent (tall body; open ribcage for left hooks?) so that makes Lee a good candidate to get that money fight.

Lee is set... HBO loves him.

When did he say that? Did he say if that offer would kick in prior to the Saunders fight or after? I see Frank's made some comments that perhaps Saunders might go with a Eubank rematch over the Lee fight, but I don't see BJS agreeing to that.
      When did Frank say that?

I made a thread, last week I think, about that. Loeffler trying to put together a package to HBO for 3 fights worth 1.5-2 million I think? No way just for GGG fight.

It's obvious. They both have now realized they are mediocre and need to face GGG in order to get ahead.

Now I think Quillin might fight either Chavez Jr or Murray to make a comparison fight

I can see Golovkin and HBO going hard for a Lee unification fight after Monroe. Cotto vs Canelo seems likely, not a whole lot of options so might as well unify.

Quillin - depends on what he plans to do here about his weight. This was the second time missing weight so it appears making 160 is getting very difficult for him, possibly explains why he looked so terrible against a guy he should have finished easy. If he moves to 168, the obvious big fight for him is Chavez being they're both with Haymon. But I doubt that happens next. They'll probably get some REAL soft touch for Junior's next fight. Maybe Quillin fights some low level 168 pounder, idk.

For two guys standing in front of each other all night you'd expect a little more action.
And LOL at Marv Albert saying they both landed 58 power punches through 10 rounds and that it was a Huge amount lol..yeah 5 power punches a round is unheard of Marvin..
There were definitely (Lennox) moments of excitement and back-n-forth action, but, there were also a lot of moments where both fighters were posturing and inactive. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

I know Lee is likely to defend his WBO title against BJS and Quillin...well apart from Haymon, does he have any bargaining chips left? He will have to wait for a rematch with Lee/BJS if it ever happens. Not to mention that a fight with GGG/Cotto looks more unlikely than ever before.

Lee probably ends up in the better position, there's that BJS fight and win or lose a money domestic clash with Macklin and probably fights with guys like Eubank Jr or Murray to wind down his career.

                What do you guys think?
Cotto isnt going to fight GGG anytime soon. Lee said he'd fight GGG, Quillin is going to move up to 168lbs where him and Chavez Jr can fight.

Well they better hope BJS takes the Eubank Jr rematch over Lee, which I don't think he will

Rightfully so, he is in fun fights and if he does happen to retain following BJS and then go onto lose to GGG, he can still have that big Macklin bout.

                      All depends on BJS.

They probably won't pay him the same step aside as Haymon and I doubt BJS would want to fight GGG if he had the WBO belt.
