Garcia won the fight, I feel most people on here judge fights with their heart not their eyes.

The first 7 rds Lamont didn't engage he turned it on late and if he fought like that from the start probably would have won the fight.

But you can't shoe shine for the first 7 rounds and turn it on late and not get the KO and expect a decision.

I agree with this whole heartedly. I seriously was thinking after 5-rounds '**** Lamont Peterson, I never want to see this mother****er again!'

Then he came in like raging bull and completely changed the fight, and my perspective on him and made it a close fight.

I still think at the very best you can give Lamont a draw. He threw away nearly 5 rounds...

In a perfect world, not being able to cut the ring off while mostly hitting air, while being jabbed, and getting your face bloodied by occasional right hands shouldn't win you round. Peterson did run too much in the first half. Then he started whooping Danny. Had he started up earlier, he wins the fight. Angel is bugging too, Danny showed nothing that makes me believe he could have sat Lamont down. Bad night for Garcia, no idea what he does next.

There is always a lot of Hate for DG - some of which I can understand.

But...

He has pretty much cleaned up at 140lbs.

Problem is that he is not improving, and if he moves to 147 he will be short.

There is plenty of paydays left for DG, but not at top tier of the 147 division.
