I was ringside, & I saw you running in the championship rds.
LP was walking you down.
You didn't want to engage in any in-fighting.
And when you were close, you hit LP with alot of low blows!
Son, you have 7 more lives.
You used 2 of them already!
Atrocious fight commentary by Ray Leonard and Marv Albert. They were so unabashedly pro-Peterson, even crediting him for missed punches while almost completely ignoring Garcia's offensive success, especially his body punches. Kudos to Steve Farhood for getting it right.
I was honestly at a loss for words. Some of what they were saying had me thinking I was watching a completely different fight.
The look on A Garcia's face after the results were announced says it all. Peterson outclassed this one trick pony but Garcia was always going to get the decision.
Peterson would have probably lost even if he knocked Garcia out. The corruption in boxing is definitely here to stay.
I would have been fine with Peterson running if he was actually throwing shots to win rounds, but he had too many rounds where he ran and didn't throw. If he is more aggressive in even one of those rounds, he wins.
BROOKLYN - Premier Boxing Champions on NBC returned with two exciting bouts Saturday night as Danny "Swift" Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) defeated Lamont Peterson (33-3-1, 17 KOs) by majority decision and "Irish" Andy Lee (34-2-1, 24 KOs) and Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (31-0-1, 22 KOs) fought to a split draw at Barclays Center.
The evening's second main event saw the undefeated Garcia stalk the lightning quick Peterson around the ring while consistently attacking Peterson's body. Peterson moved well in the first half of the fight, but did not begin engaging offensively until the later rounds.
The two exchanged blows throughout a raucous twelfth round that stirred the crowd of 12,300 at Barclays Center into a frenzy. The judges tallies ended at 115-113 for Garcia twice and one score of 114-114.

Exactly! I put the TV on mute cuz i couldnt stand the garbage Leonard was saying. Sorry but Lamont did NOTHInG the first 6 rounds. He started coming back the last 6 but Danny did some good work as well. I dont see how LP was outclassing Fanny the first rounds when all he did was literally run and dance around. Thats not boxing or being technical. Thats running so you dont get KTfO. I think Danny did a lil worse later on cuz he gassed out. Danny wins the rematch.
