I keep reading how peterson did nothing for the first half of the fight. While true, neither did Garcia. How does that equate to peterson losing those rounds?

One thing that is for sure is that Garcia was getting his azz whooped from round 8 on.

I like both guys. It wasn't even a gift. Lamont is a top 3-5 at 140. Danny has a close fight with him and he's a bum?

Yeah I don't think this makes him a bum, but at the same time, Pederson has been dominated by top opposition.

I think the CW helped lamont more than swift. His chin was much more solid at 165 lol

I gave a slight edge to Peterson but it really should have been a draw. I didn't expect him to get the win in Brooklyn off that performance. I might have been completely wrong about Garcia but he seems to be regressing fast. He doesn't seem the same after his fight with Matthysse.

i fail to see anything significant that garcia did to get the win or even have some fans claim this was close. he was shadowboxing the first half of the fight got walked down and beaten up in the second when lamont decided to stand and trade.

I turned off the fight once Lamont started dancing around like an idiot.
Peterson got waxed by mattysse already and got schooled by tim bradley.
This fight wasn't close in my book , Lamont didn't do enough... Garcia won but wasn't impressive at all. Danny needs to rematch Mattysse and Lamont can build from this fight and get a good payday in his next fight.

Garcia....

Garcia clearly won this fight. Peterson did a lot of out of character moving around early, but he was ineffective. Garica just stayed poised and touched him when he could. His defense was also good. Peterson came into the ring with a HUGE 12-15 pound advantage over Garcia. It's the only reason he wasn't KO'ed. You all need to grow up and be honest about what you're watching. No rematch is necessary.
