Ward don't need to fight out of Oakland because he is blessed to be in AMERICA, he can fight in front of a small crowd and still pull in a great Payday
Really? A great payday? I wonder what his payday from BET is going to be and how much it would have been without his Roc Nation contract.

Ward is not an example of American domination in boxing or in anything else. If Ward is an example of anything it is of a three time loser, that is how many court cases he lost, and of abject failure and waste of a promising career.

Ward will make money regardless, 1 Warmup fight is not going to stop him from making money. Lets talk about in the ring who at 168 can beat him? Ward is still young and was just entering his PRIME as a fighter. 1 Year away from Boxing is not going to diminish his skills.

Ward will be fine, he doesn't have to relocate his family to another country to make a good payday

Apparently so, one guy who doesn't fight and the other a 40 year old who took 6 years to fight the #2 in his own division.

Everybody knows American boxing is dead.

Ward was run into retirement basically and Mayweather ran too for years and may well now be beaten into it also.

It would take a miracle to save it now.

It has been and is increasingly being supplanted by a stronger race of people physically and more disciplined society.

I think that, as long as the best prospects out of America come from a background of rap music, drugs and street crime, they will always lag behind.

It's a bit hard to compete with nations who basically select the best specimens and train them to box practically from birth and not allow other interests with the latest research into training methods.

The yanks need to ditch their old school methodologies and this loser image they seem to maintain now and maybe in the future they will do better.

American boxing hasn't gone anywhere. It maybe dead at the amateur level, but America still runs the pro game.

There are 11 lineal champions in boxing. America has 5 (Ward-SMW, Mayweather-JMW, Mayweather-WW, Garcia-JWW, Crawford-LW). Cuba has 2. No other country has more than 1.

America has 19 title belts currently. No other country has more than 8.

                It's no contest really.

At heavyweight, Deontay Wilder is the king when Wladimir retires (Wilder could probably even give him a little push into retirement if a bomb lands on the Ukrainian glass jaw).

                  .
So wrong.. I really can't wait until this hypejob gets put in his place, I reckon Joshua as raw as he is right now would smash Wilder with ease..

Garcia shouldn't have a belt. Floyd shouldn't have the 154 belt, and Ward doesn't fight. Crawford is the only interesting one of the group.
