LOL. He can't reliably make 160, but he thinks Golovkin should move up doe. Peter Quacklin is everything wrong with boxing.

I didn't realize that he had trouble making weight before. At least his questionable stamina makes sense now.

Does anyone know if Quillin is making the effort to make weight?

Yeah. If he makes the weight within 2 hours it will still be a title fight and Quillin will take the belt if he wins.

Haymon don't do shady business dooooeeee

Even though Lee can keep the title, a loss would hurt him. He should demand Quillin struggle as much as possible to make the weight limit.

Lee was professional enough to make weight for a title fight, so should quillin. Lee should not accept a pay-off.

If he is out of time and didnt make weight then i can see Lee saying no but i doubt it cause this exposure is bigger than anything he can get.

If he still has time then stop being an idiot.

See what being with Haymon getting overpaid does to the fighters? They get lazy and accustomed to not adhering to the rules. Quillin is a disgrace. Lee should only fight if he can make the weight. If not, fck it, call the fight. Lee will be in line for another big payday anyway with his title and doesn't need to feed the Parasite Boxing Cowards line of business.

Maybe, but a loss is a set back as well. There are plenty of opponents and bigger fights (Lemuix, GGG, Cotto, etc.) although not on the prestigious PBC platform.

I wouldn't risk it even if he gets to keep the belt. Quillin will have an advantage by not having to starve himself to make weight and will likely have more stamina and undergo a smoother hydration process prior to the fight.
