Quigg literally sells tickets to his fights from his mum's chipper

60/40 to the winner is another joke offer and something that never happens when proposed.

It's going to be in Quigg's backyard on a Matchroom Show.

If Quigg is so confident about winning the fight, why doesn't he give Frampton the 60% he deserves as the real champion and draw then if he (Quigg) wins the fight, then he gets the bigger split for the rematch?

McGuigan cannot counter with a better offer, Hearn knows that so that is just a piece of rhetoric. However it is besides the point, McGuigan and Frampton do not need this fight desperately enough that they will take less than their perceived value. The negotiations seemed to stall because of the demands of each promoter more than the demands of each fighter. McGuigan wants to co-promote, that means make money from the show but when Hearn says he will allow co-promotion all he means is that Cyclone Promotions can be on the banner and poster etc. If McGuigan only wants this fight on ITV, or if he wants far too large of a cut of the promotion then it is McGuigan that is being unreasonable and therefore to blame for the fight not happening. However I think it is more likely that it is Hearn that is to blame as he wants to keep all the promotional money, and thinks that because he is bringing the Sky PPV that therefore he can control all of this. Sky aren't desperate for the fight for Quigg v TBA, they are desperate because it is Frampton. Hearn is probably standing firm because of his animosity towards McGuigan and Frampton.

I know they don't have to accept and they don't need Quigg or Matchroom for shit, I just think that if they see the offer as unacceptable then requests the terms you find suitable. Ask matchroom for a split of PPV buys, then if matchroom reject then you know Eddie Hearn is playing games and they can movie on.

Well Hearn obviously won't allow genuine co-promotion and therefore that will only be acceptable to McGuigan if Frampton's purse is larger than this 1.5 mil because McGuigan will need to take his promoters cut from Frampton's purse. Essentially Hearn is trying to keep an unreasonable portion of the money for Matchroom and Quigg and then has played the media game to make them look like the good guys. It is pretty embarrassing really.

You're probably right. I hope not though as I really want to see this fight. Even if Quigg loses I think his stock doesn't take a huge hit. I think not fighting Frampton brings down his stock more than a loss.

Such an easy things to sort out...

              0.5 mil guaranteed purse each
              1 mil winner’s bonus
50 / 50 split of everything that remains

Sounds like Frampton (McGuigan) is playing princess.

Hearn isn't in the business of securing a pay day for Carl Frampton or Barry McGuigan

1 million winner's bonus? When does this ever happen? Always talked about but never happens. What if Frampton gets stopped early by an over zealous ref or loses on a cut or dodgy decision?

                    50/50....Quigg doesn't draw ****.

Easy to sort out - Quigg knows his role as a bum ass paper champion who sells tickets out of a chippy and takes the lesser cut.

I'm starting to feel sorry for quigg this is his chance for a big payday one that doesn't come around that often at the lower weights and his promoter's greed is stopping the fight. I fully believe quigg thinks he would win and wants the fight and would take the shortend of the purse to prove he is better.

p.s He gets completely outclassed if they fight and Frampton can bin that toys r us belt.
