Pac did have trouble with JMM's counters in every fight, but Pac also dropped and busted up JMM in every fight... the question is if Floyd has as good of a beard as JMM has to sustain the counters over time to get the decision.

algieri is right, counters are the way to go, but it's a fairly specific type of counter, you throw while he's throwing, mayweather is not a big fan of that type of countering, it's move then counter with him

It wasn't that JMM countered Pac so well. It's that he punched WITH Pac. Everyone struggles with that because mid-combination is when you're mist vulnerable. Maidana gave Floyd hell because he'd start a combo and wouldn't let a Floyd counter disrupt him. He ate the counters and kept punching.

Marquez has a pretty good chin but it's his ability to recover that stands out, that more so than his chin. Mayweather has the superior chin and his reach will make it so that he doesn't have to stand within Pacquiao's range when he doesn't want to. This gives Mayweather all the options he needs to operate, get Pacquiao to bite into feints.
