Neither is Sylvester Stallone, who gives a ***.

Well neither is Sylvester Stallone. However, Gatti is yet a legend in his own right. He provided us boxing fans with many crowd pleasing fights. Not too many of the current Hall of Famers can claim the same thing.

Hall of Fame not Hall of Skill.

Many Refs, trainers and promoters get in who never laced up gloves. Gatti was great for the sport. He's contributions are undeniable.

        I'm glad he's in.

          Thread is about Gatti-not Floyd.

Since you think he belongs, I am sure my opinion he doesn't is correct.
At least half a ton of bullshit in your post, so its a no.

I loved Gatti, but he shouldn't be in for popularity. Better fighters with better resumes are left out! Who's his best win?

If we are going to elect fighters in the hall based on being in exciting fights then there are several from the 40s through the 60s that should be in.

so the most exciting fighter of his era, along with bringing in tons of the casual fans in to the sport because of the way that he fought, does not belong in the hall of fame?

I think people need a refresher about what 'FAME' is.

Anyone who wants to see a real travesty of a HoF need look no further than the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with such memorable ROCK AND ROLL stars inducted like Donna Summers and Run DMC and Public Enemy...
