I've said before on here and it falls on deaf ears: Mayweather wearing a sombrero and mexican colors is done in a way to mock Mexicans. His uncle was nicknamed "the mexican assassin". Can you imagine if a latino fighter called himself "the black killer"? People would flip the eff out.
Most Mexicans (and Mexican Americans) don't support the Mayweather's because of this relationship they've had with Mexicans (and their mockery of them).
I'll be rooting for Manny. And I'm picking him too. Too much volume for Floyd, and judges are dazzled by Mannys style. For the first time Floyd doesn't have some angle on the fight (picks the gloves, picks the ref, picks the weight). And don't give me that A Side mumbo jumbo that's an abstract business term--it's not a "i make the rules" clause.
Of course not all, but many do. I've already stated that many times on this thread. Some are outward with the hate. some are not. Many will say it to a white person behind a black person's back and the white friend will tell everything they said. "closet racism" are you going to deny there is a lot of racism in the mexican community towards blacks? If you deny it, you sir, are ignorant.
I never denied it at all because there is. Just like I'm not going to ask u if there's hate towards Mexicans in the Black community, why? Because I know there is, haters r gonna hate bro. Just look at every trolling Broner fan post on here, always gotta put Mexicans down. But if I walked around & acted like every black man hated me or thinks I hated him because of our skin color, I'd be 1 scary @ss guy walking around in SoCal. I'll even friend request u, lol
but it wasnt embraced by Manny Pacquaio, it was just something people called him but wasnt nothing officially approved by Pacquaio.
but all this Mexican vs Insert Random Haters here just makes me laugh, every few years its Mexicans vs some damn race. Get immune to it after awhile cause it always ends teh same Mexicans>
Pacquiao always had a great Mexican fan base. He does great in America for the same reasons, they love the guy, hard working, spiritual, good all around person.
Gaining Support? Speaking Mexican?
What is this writer talking about?
Mexicans have always support Pacquiao. The ratings he gets in Mexico when he fights are through the roof.
Same for Mayweather, whom many Mexicans support as well.
I recall some Mexicans always asking me when Pac was fighting a Mexican, "Who are you going for?" Furthermore, when I'd tell other Mexicans that Pac was roiding, they'd say "Nah man".
