It's a testament to how much Mexicans love boxing. It's no mystery that all fights are sponsored by "mexican beer" companies. It has little to do with Floyd. They love the sport on a grand scale.

And, typical floyd fan: citing numbers as some sort of rationalization for his schtick.

It'd be funny if Mayweather wore Mexican colors again to try to get the crowd on his side.

You haven't seen the ticket prices?
No Mexicans are going to be there besides George Lopez and boxers.

Imagine if Floyd comes out with Filipino flag color trunks and gloves.

It really is. Many people accuse Mexicans of only following other mexican fighters, and while it is true that Mexicans support their own; they also support other fighters.
In 2014 more Mexican households tuned in to watch Bradley/Pac than they did Canelo vs anyone that year. That Pac fight had 24.5 million mexican households tuning in.

Seriously this article needs to be edited. Its incorrect and it also happens to be offensive. Plenty of Posters have already stated that the language Mexican's speak is "Spanish," not "Mexican." I am Puerto Rican, I also speak Spanish. It is the language that gives all Hispanics a common bond even though our people live so far apart.

                  Please make the correction.

His uncle was nicknamed "the mexican assassin". Can you imagine if a latino fighter called himself "the black killer"? People would flip the eff out.

Most Mexicans (and Mexican Americans) don't support the Mayweather's because of this relationship they've had with Mexicans (and their mockery of them).

I'll be rooting for Manny. And I'm picking him too. Too much volume for Floyd, and judges are dazzled by Mannys style. For the first time Floyd doesn't have some angle on the fight (picks the gloves, picks the ref, picks the weight). And don't give me that A Side mumbo jumbo that's an abstract business term--it's not a "i make the rules" clause.

Note: this message was written in "mexican"

                      This.

And still Mexican Americans and Chicanos want to root for that woman beating thug, even after he mocks them.
