Comments Thread For: Shaw: Dulorme Will Shine Against Terence Crawford

PUERTO RICO - Gary Shaw Productions top contender, Puerto Rican sensation Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KO's), is just 9 pounds over the weight limit of 140 lbs. for his Saturday, April 18th showdown against "2014 Fighter of the Year" and former lightweight world champion, Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KOs).

"I'm very happy with everything that is happening in the training camp," said an excited Thomas Dulorme. Chef Tom Gonzalez has done a great job with my nutrition. I'm eating good, healthy food and we can see the results in comparison to my recent fights. Since campaigning at 140 pounds, I've never been so close to making weight as I am now with less than two weeks to go. I'm feeling incredibly strong and the food I'm eating has made a tremendous difference in a positive way".

I guess it depends to a certain extent on how much power Crawford brings with him to this new division, but even so, I find it difficult to believe he has too much trouble with Dulorme. If Abregu can catch and stop him, Crawford should do so easier.

Abregu at 147 hits a lot harder than Crawford at 140, no way this fight looks like that.

This is a good fight...might as well put it out there that I consider myself a Crawford fan.. but I think Dulorme will get his chances. This isn't a weak oppone Crawford is hittable, this is a new weight for him, and Dulorme has decent power and good technique. Dulorme's problems are all mental imo, doesn't like the fight to be too dirty and rough. He's appears to wait to see how hurt he is after taking a punch..too much hesitation. Lundy had him going a little bit but gassed hard and Dulorme regained control.

i give him some credit for sticking in there when it feels like he was about to crack but in this fight, I don't think a moral victory will be enough. People call him boring, but I think Crawford is good at recognizing when to push the issue...while Dulorme currently is good at letting opponents know when he's about to break. I think Crawford will be down on the cards early, but take over the fight at some point for the W
