have you ever heard styles make fights........

style-wise Rios would be perfect for Kell Brook
Brook has NO answer for Rios devastating uppercut. As soon as Kelly tries to clinch for dear life, Brandon welcomes him with an uppercut to the chin and the fight will be over.

lol. But we are talking about the same Rios that got schooled by Abril, lost to Alvarado and was losing to Chaves. He beat an Alvarado that looked so bad and distracted due to his outside activities. He's a flat footed punching bag at the end of the day. But then again Brook went life and death with Carson Jones so if Rios can get in there who knows?

Rios seems like a good dude, but in terms of "styles make fights" I can see why Hearn wants the fight for Brook. Rios is a plump 135er with a solid jaw and very little agility. Brook, a very agile, accurate & strong true WW, will make this an exhibition. Rios' durability will mean he takes a lot of punishment in this fight. Similar outcome to Manny vs Rios.

I think Brandon Rios is one of the most underrated welterweights. Just because he got turned into Manny pacquiaos punching bag doesn't mean hes not good. Most of mannys opponents have no choice but to clam up the whole fight or get knocked out. Algieri, Rios, mosely, margarito, clottey, de la Hoya all had their guards up the whole fight and had their faces completely tore up, (note my signature). Rios put up a good fight with Diego Chavez who is a good fighter. Diego Chavez gave Thurman a run for his money, was probably ahead in the fight till Thurman ended it. Also fought Tim Bradley to a draw. He barely lost a split decision to mike Alvarado, but had knocked him out months before, and totally annihilated him a couple months ago, and looked really good doing it. I think Rios would give kell brook his moneys worth and potentially connect with a big shot and end it. I'd really like to see that fight or even Rios vs. Vargas or Jose Benavidez. Also bring on Rios vs. Tim Bradley I think that may be the best fight considering bradleys tendecy to brawl with sluggers like pacquiao, and provodnikov.

Rios really loads up on all his punches, and connected with as many punches as Diego Chavez and the fight was tied when it was stopped. Chavez was really using dirty tactics. You cant say that even though Alvarado didn't have much left, Rios looked phenominal and would give any top welterweight problems. He had a lot of confidence in himself unlike in the pacquiao fight.

I agree Rios is good against the right opponent, but he's far more limited than Brook. Brook has a mean & powerful jab and he moves fluidly. Brandon's plodding forward style is perfect for Brook's target practice.

I strongly believe rios gives anyone from 140-147 problems except paquiao or may.in my humble opinion he beats thurman or brooks late

Rios has paid his dues, he was outclassed by Manny, but that just proves how good Manny is. Rios has rebounded well from that loss and deserves a big fight next, I honestly believe he is underrated and one of the best welterweights out there. He has heart and comes forward all night long.
