BoxingScene.com recently caught up with elite trainer Robert Garcia whose stable of fighters includes Brandon Rios, Mikey Garcia, Marcos Maidana, and many others.

Rios (33-2-1, 24KOs) recently took to his Twitter account to call out IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook who looked sensational in his fourth round knockout victory over Jo Jo Dan on March 28th. Rios was last in action in January when he steamrolled Mike Alvarado in their rubber match.

Garcia is on board with the Brook fight and feels it would be especially big in the UK. He wanted to make it clear though that Rios has many other options and pointed to Top Rank's stable of fighters in and around the 147 pound division which includes Tim Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Jessie Vargas, Jose Benavidez, Mikael Zewski and others.

How was it a gift when Jose Benavidez landed 50 more head punches, and connected at a higher percentage, and landed the cleaner more effective punches the whole fight. When Benavidez laid on the ropes for a minute each round, he had a good guard up and Herrera couldn't land a single effective punch. Then Benavidez would outbox Herrera the other 2 minutes a round and rock Herrera at times. Herrera only averaged 3 more punches a round but they were weak feather fisted body punches. Benavidez averaged around 5 more head punches a round. Go watch the fight again, it was close but Benavidez won
