  • Peterson's jab can/will be the key to victory...

Not saying he will win, but if Peterson boxes and uses his jab, it may be a long night for Danny. I have nothing against Swift but Ive noticed he doesnt move his head well and eats jab after jab. He also tends to move straight back while on Defense. Peterson actually has a great jab but I dont think he's disciplined enough to use it for 12rds but if he does, we could very well have an upset soon. What do you think, can Peterson out box Garcia? Or will he have to outhustle him? Or will he have to out brawl Danny?

No. Movement will be. Garcia will get dizzy!

Peterson's at his best applying pressure I think, not trying to control distance and box. Even though Garcia doesn't seem to be very good coming forward, Peterson probably isn't good enough going backwards to fight that sort of fight.

If he can get inside on Danny without getting caught too much then it will make for an interesting fight. Odds are Danny's power will prove too much for him though.

He will be caught flush by Garcia's ******ed hooks.

Swift has been BADLY outboxed a couple of times now. Beating Garcia is one thing, getting the judges to give you a fair shake is another all together.

If that happens then we can say Peterson is even more ******ed than the hooks themselves.

Peterson isn't much of a boxer though, he's a pressure guy who attacks the body and does his best work on the inside. You said it yourself, the guy has a good jab and the tools but he's never shown the discipline to fight strategically. That will play right into Garcia's gameplan eventually who will most likely catch him trying to come inside.

You're right in a sense, there's been Herrera, old Erik Morales in the first fight, Theophane, and even a shopworn Zab gave him some fits. I like DSG, but I don't like his chances once he moves up to 147 with guys his own size, which is probably why he's been delaying the inevitable.

Will he be forced to shave the 6 inches of beard padding his face?

Atm...Swift's left hook is the prettiest and most deadly punch from 140-154
