Roach was commentating Kovalev - White and he said that Sergey is one of his favorite fighters, so who knows...

I've always thought if Manny was an orthodox light heavyweight, stylistically Kovalev would be the closest thing to it... minus the footwork.

Kovalev seems very shy to me (could be the language barrier to) I don't know why everyone thinks he seems so aggressive and "ruthless." Inside the ring he sure is tough (but so are alot of boxers), but outside he seems to be fairly quiet and unassuming.

Someone like Hopkins or even Gabriel Rosado/Curtis Stevens seem more aggressive than him (personality wise)....But like I said the language barrier could be it...

New breed of fans I guess. I thought the object of boxing was to instill pain!

Is Jackson out and is Roach taking over? I also met the Krusher at a Main Events card in AC and he really is a down to Earth person.

I hope John D Jackson is still with Kovalev. I thought they had good chemistry. John's a good coach and Freddie is getting older and God forbid, sicker. Although Freddie is great with punchers and would do wonders with Krusher, it'd be frightening actually.

What happened with him and JDJ? Anyone know the specifics?

I read that he didn't like Florida either he said it was too humid or something lol. Felt he couldn't prepare 100%

Kovalev is a ***ing savage. would love to see him beat up andre ward lol
If Ward ever gets his **** together, I'd pick him to edge out Kovalev. I'm a fan of Kovalev but it's hard to bet against a fighter thats well rounded and hasn't lost since he was 12 years old.

Kovalev has been at Wild Card before. He's done it to start off his training camps in the past, then hits the high altitude training in Big Bear, before moving camp to Florida. The only question is if he'll goto Florida this time or just keep camp in California. All of this trainer drama is just nonsense.
