Even though Bradley lost the first fight with Pacquiao, Lampley made it seem like it was a shut out. I clearly saw Bradley win at least four rounds in the first fight with Manny but if you listen to Lampley it was a white wash.

If this fight is close at all the world is going to think Manny won due to Lampley's biased commentary. We know he'll be pulling for Manny and HBO shouldn't allow someone so openly biased to call one of the biggest fights in boxing history.
There were many who scored Pac-Bradley 1 as a 9-3, 10-2 scorecard. It wasn't close. 8-4 was the right score. It seemed wider because it was over by the championship rounds.

Lampley is going to ruin this fight!!! Just like he does many of the other fights he calls.

I really don't see how people like Lampley as a commentator.

How can people like a commentator who calls the action wrong?

I strongly believe Lampley is the reason many think that particular fight was a robbery. He didn't give Bradley credit for much of anything he landed. That fight was a lot closer than people want to believe.

I thought they were talking about Merchant for a moment. That dude made a lot of memorable lines.

Lampley on the other hand? I can't think of any memorable lines to be honest. He says things to end a fight and whatnot at the end during their final discussion before they go off the air, but it's nothing worth remember.

Merchant on the other hand always came up with very memorable lines and comparisons. Love him or hate him, he was a true journalist/writer that just so happen to be calling fights.

In the opening seconds of Hopkins V Pavlik Merchant said that this fight was going to be 'A fight between two construction workers fighting over a sandwich. Is it going to be a turkey sandwich or a roast beef?'

I still have no ****ing clue what that means.

If Mayweather wins, he'll "forget" his line.

If Pacquiao wins, he'll shred Mayweather and praise Pac as some sort of God.

                  Bank on it.

I believe Lampley is one of the reasons many think Mayweather-Castillo was a robbery. It was a fight with many close rounds yet at the end after the decision you have Lampley saying "that's not the fight we saw".

Sounds to me that Merchant seriously underrates a good Turkey sandwich

I'm sure Lampley's commentary will be about as genuinely neutral as a potheads take on the legalization of drugs... I'm not sure if he calls Mayweather's fights in the opponents favor as a way to make it more dramatic making it seem closer then it is, or if he is truly that bias and blind. But it wasn't only him all of HBO's commentary team were always taking every opportunity to talk **** on Floyd. I'm just glad old ass Larry merchant won't be part of the show!!!
