I don't blame Khan for turning it down because it would be ****** to become mandatory and only get 20% in a fight he could get at least 50%....

But why lie about it, that's weak.

The percentage is only if it goes to a purse bid and I believe the sanctioning body determines the percentage of the purse, meaning, 20% isn't fixed. Look at Wilder vs Stiverne, they circumvented a couple of purse bids and Wilder (challenger) took home a larger purse than Stiverne (champion).

A) Khan knew the truth and lied to the media & fans.

B) Khan told the media the story wasn't true without checking with his team first.

C) Khan checked with his team, but they lied to him and allowed him to make a fool of himself.

More important than the IBF mandatory is team Khan essentially turned down a Bradley fight. Thats a fight I wished happened 3 years ago but could have been a very good scrap and given the winner good footing at 147.
