Oh ok. Well, he was only throwing single punches. He was a little hesistant cause of the eye.

No doubt that he hit Garcia a lot. Both showed a lot of toughness. But again, I dont think Garcia wants to go thru that again.

I don't think it makes sense at this point if it is not at 147 and for a title. I want to see Garcia move up to 147 and fight Maidana, Thurman and others at that weight class. Matthysse needs to take over 140 when Danny moves up and then move up after Danny. I just don't understand why Matthysse would leave Haymon if he really wanted the rematch with Garcia. Don't know the reasons for the split but staying with Haymon would have made more sense.

Im a fan but I'm also a realist. Matthysse isn't gonna take over JWW. The end is near and it might just be in the Ruslan fight. He's getting into these wars late in his career and he isn't getting any younger.

Only way Garcia becomes a champion at WW is by fighting the Bon Salsas and/or shot Morales'es of the world. Which is possible with Haymon at the wheel.

It wasnt a easy fight, but Garcia clearly won and left no doubt who is the better all around fighter IMO. I dont think theres any demand for a rematch, the eye damage was caused by a punch, was legal, and is no excuse.

If lucas is put one dimensional and can box and brawl like you claim, then he should have no problem fighting off the back foot and using lateral movement to slice ruslan up...

Uhhh if he doesn't fight off the back foot that doesn't necessarily mean he's one dimensional. Maybe age is creeping up and his legs aren't as fresh anymore? If you know anything about Lucas you would know he can box. I've said he can outbox Ruslan but is it in him anymore? We'll find out.

i dont see how people say it was a landslide win, the cards showed it was very very close, garcia only won by a point on the cards and the showtime crew had lucas winning. a rematch is ok if you ask me. i think cus most thought lucas wouldnt blast danny out the fact that danny looked good and went the full 12 people say he "destroyed lucas" but i say do the reamatch!! garcia isnt moving up yet so why not

Because Garcia, rightly or wrongly, is not interested !

* keep winning, and force the fight through public outcry
* keep winning, and become a mandatory

I would like to see a rematch too, but only because of styles..... Herrera is a better fighter than Matthyse.
