Beterbiev needs to go the same path as Kovalev since his goal for now is Kovalev, not Stevenson ... Give him Caparello, Agnew and then Pascal... Alvarez or Stevenson won't happen until there's no one left ... They are both in GYM stable...

The weight has to be an issue, he's so lean on the scales @ 175 exactly ! He looks better come fight night, this was an early fight too, not sure he would have fully hydrated by late noon. He will be headlining his own cards soon anyway, chief support ain't his jig.

I think maybe he means his management, yknow like I want to fight the best but my team will put my opponent in front of me and I'll duly do the business. It is no different from all those guys thanking Al and saying they'll fight whoever he puts in front of me, it is not my choice. It is almost like a pre emptive excuse due to his next opponent won't be any one we want it to be. Lets not forget he has only had 7 fights.
