You are assuming that he will be able to land against Kovalev. No one can expect to win if they just stand there and let the punches land. The skill comes from actually being able to connect. I doubt Beterbiev will find it as easy to find Kovalev as Campillo was.

I absolutely agree. People are awed by raw power. Putting the power to work against a guy like Kov will be near impossible. Adonis is finished. I think Beterbiev could beat Adonis today though. Talk about a limited fighter. Adonis is the worst.

And will Beterbiev's chin stand Kovalev's power? Eventually they will fight and we will know the answer. Until then it is all speculation; however, as for now I'll stick with Sergey in any fight against Beterbiev. You do realize that Kovalev finished Campillo in the 3rd round when they fought in January of 2013? So, two years ago, Sergey stopped Campillo in three rounds. Today - two years later, Beterbiev stopped Campillo in the fourth round, and to date, Sergey has stopped Campillo earlier than any other fighter - including Beterbiev.

Beterbiev power shots will do that to you. I can't wait for him and kovalev to fight. That's gonna be a slugging war.

It was shocking how much power Artur had in that short right hand and that look he had when he turned away from Campillo was downright evil.
