I understand your thought process. I don't think you should idolize materialistic things period, but that can be good for some. Those things weren't given to Floyd! He earned everything has and his work outs can be an inspiration the younger generation! Nobody said he was a good role model as a lot of pro athletes aren't! PAC any at one point either. He cheated on his wife and had ******** problems and stole to survive as a kid! I respect your post but you have to realize the back ground that both have come from! You have to respect both! Floyd changed the sport of boxing! PAC just hasn't gotten with the program! He feels entitled to be loyal to Bob Arum, which is why he is set to make $100mil, but will probably only see 60mil

I guess if he loses, the fate of the human race is doomed. Thank you Manny... for taking on this great responsibility.

Yes, Manny is fighting for his nation, Floyd will be singling out a "race"

                Floyd is racist though.

Damn shame that fans need to turn the biggest event in a sport we supposedly love soooo much into a race war.. I'll see ya'll May 3rd.

OR... the guy who's fighting five or six weight classes ABOVE where they began their career?

He may not be weight drained, but he's also in the ring with someone twice his size. Do people not remember how small ODLH, Cotto, Margarito, and Clottey made Pacquiao look?

Has anyone seen how much bigger Mayweather looks than him? And Mayweather is a small WW to begin with.
It depends on the amount of weight that has to be shed. De la hoya, margarito, and cotto were all fighting at either catch weights, or weight classes they weren't her best at respectively. But they signed the contracts, so it's on them. I'm not saying this to be biased, but as a guy who has wrestled his entire life and has had to cut his share of pounds.

I've seen some pretty ugly stuff on these boards, even more so now the fight is happening. Some have gone so far as to link their desires/wishes to what God supposedly wants (sick and disturbing). Then there are those that see this as some sort of social war where the "saintly man of the people" is battling the "horrible materialistic ****** gangsta". People, it's the biggest event in a sport we're supposed to love. Living vicariously through one of the two protagonists or making it about your personal issues is weird and pretty sad.
