In the past, WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) was the master of the pre-fight verbal banter. As the days count down to the biggest fight of his career, Mayweather has been noticeably quiet.

TOO LATE...
Manny remembers all the twitter post about him. The rice, sushi, and egg rolls comments. Calling him Poochiao. Posting pics of Marquez KO. Talking about his taxes without all the info. Talking about his relationship with Bob Arum. Having one of his flunkies secretly record Manny in his hotel room with out letting the man know he was recording in his room as an invited guest and etc. At 38 he feels he has lost something and is unsure of himself doing things he has never done. Hiring a strength and training coach, posting videos of himself sparring, chopping wood, not berating is opponent... He is doing things things that he has never done before because he is unsure at 38. He thinks he is gonna lose and doesn't want to give Manny any extra motivation. Too late though, all the things he said and posted on the internet about Manny from 2008 to 2014 may have been forgotten by the public but not Manny.... It's time to pay the fiddler....Comment

Typically that's what happens to bullies when they're up against someone their size or won't back down. Look how humble Bernard Hopkins became after Kovalev beat him. Silence and respect. Floyd trash talk in-person to guys like Ortiz, Guerrero, but not Pacquiao?Comment

My goodness. The Floyd detractors are as pathetic as the Floyd joys. Same shit different asshole.
As a fan of both fighters, I'm not sure who I want to win. Same thing happened with then both of these guys fought DLH. I guess whoever is down on the cards during the fight is who I'll wind up rooting for.
But whoever wins, part of me can't wait to see either of the aforementioned ******s get humbled.Comment

On May 2, TBE will retire Manny...truth!Comment

Pac fanboys act delusional. Manny isn't undefeated, get over it, he doesn't fight with the high level of intelligence Floyd does, stop it, he doesn't have a great defense either so what do you expect? Counter punches with excellent timing all night long. Who cares how fast your hands are when you're up against the best defense in the game.Comment

Oh just like Manny didn't weight drained opponents with ****** catchweights floyd oy did this once Manny did it a lot fighting the Chris Algeri's and Brandon Rios' and fighting fighters coming off of losses. I can't wait for May 2 when you Pac idiots get put in your place an you disappear. And even then you idiots will still have an excuse they are already making excuses talking about Manny has leg cramps maybe they are menstrual cramps. LMAOHe has a great team that picks the right fights for him and advises him how to use his status in the sport as a leveraging chip to force opponents to "give in" for the payday. Guys have had to move up, move down, wear certain gloves when he is "the best ever" in his own words. "The best ever" would not have to retire once, twice (however many times he has retired for health reasons), and make up all these stipulations if he was the best ever. It's been a smokescreen and when called out on it, the answer is always something like I'm the A-side, you want that money, you make the sacrifices.
Just like the whole Ariza thing....he was dosing Pac up but now that he is with Floyd, there is no talk about all that from their camp is there? LOL....dude is a fake, full of talk and coached by a slick marketing team.
I pick the people that I want to beat him, honestly....the first Maidana fight should have been a draw......that score was straight schit.Comment

The idea of Floyd maturing is bogus. He has said this before and then come out with ****** **** the next week ("what has Africa ever done for Floyd Mayweather?"
)
I know he's calmed down with the smack-talking in recent years but to go totally quiet for this fight? That's kinda weird to me. Reminds me a little of Duran being (deliberately) respectful of Hagler, which Marvin says dulled his killer instinct. I also think it may be because he knows Pac is the real deal. I would not be surprised at all if there's a lot of nerves for this fight. It is an incredibly risk fight if you are trying to preserve that "0" and have shown decline in your last few fights.Comment
