CW and Univision(Televisa) are both over-the-air US networks with no official deals with Haymon yet (Doubt that Haymon is open, at the moment, to using his fights to prop up Golden Boy/Roc Nation Sports on Fox/FS1 or prop up RNS on BET). With the NBC deal as the cornerstone of the project, Telemundo may even end up being an option (Univision seems to have the Solo Boxeo deal with Top Rank, so not really sure how that situation would shake out).
He's basically maxed out on what could be available for his bigger fights, so he's probably looking for another BounceTV-type deal, to showcase the "wet behind the ears" prospects.
From the outside looking in, a deal with Telemundo would make the most sense; the channel features a good amount of Spanish/English/Spanglish programming, and openly markets to the English-speaking Mexican American communities. Figure out how many shows Telemundo would be willing to put on, and then put 2-3 TV fights on those cards that would appeal to a Telemundo audience (young prospect from Latin America who decided to try and make their name stateside, Latin kid from an American city/town (speaking both English and Spanish) who is boxing, etc).
Similar to BounceTV, Telemundo viewers would see the "before they were stars" fighters, hopefully following them as they would eventually transition to NBC Sports, NBC and hopefully primetime NBC/PPV.Comment

I dont follow executives careers so dont know when he was out but this type of plan doesnt happen overnight. He needed the investors, the fighters, the TV dates, and thats just the known and big things. Sponsors, announcers, venues, etc... still to be ironed out.
We are beginning to see what Al envisioned with PBC. About a year it should be flowingComment

Simple:
"Hey, my name is Al Haymon. Before coming to you for this venture, I've likely worked with a lot of you gentlemen/ladies while I was building my concert business (which was snapped up by LiveNation for a healthy payout upfront, in addition to a sizable residual in the company). I'm here to pitch you my next venture, rebuilding US domestic interest in the "sport of kings", boxing.
Since entering the sport in 2000, to help my friend Vernon Forrest, I've seen the ups and downs of how the sport has operated for long enough to recognize that the sport is reaching a certain point, and I have a plan to turn it around.
Leveraging my connections, the fighters/companies I work with, this investment, and given a 3-4 year horizon, I believe that I can help usher in a resurgence of interest in this great sport, bringing a sizable return for this initial investment in due time.
I've always done good business by you here; I look forward to you supporting me in this new venture".
-He's coming into almost any discussion with a successful track record that he can point to (successful concert busines, leveraging Mayweather out of his Top Rank deal to emerge as the sport's biggest star, delivering for his TV partner Showtime, etc). not too hard seeing folks willing to put their money with him.Comment

Most of the fight cards will be on Saturday (in the afternoon or primetime on NBC/CBS/ESPN/ABC/NBCSN/CBSSports); the only non-Saturday fights, so far, are the primetime Friday night fights on Spike. You add that, outside of the Showtime fights, all the fights are on free channels and are being cross-promoted throughout all of the broadcast, and i'm not really seeing this confusion.Like I stated in an earlier thread.....
Although its good that boxing is getting more exposure, at the same time it feels as if its also getting watered down. You have all these different networks showing fights now on different days and different times. Its disorganized. When its on HBO or Showtime you know that its going to be on a Sat evening. With networks like BET, Fox1, NBC, Spike TV, ESPN, ETC.. Its hard to keep track of who's showing what on what time/date.
I'm happy there's more fights being televised now. I just wish there was more organization to it. Its all over the place. Different promoters, different channels at different times on different days. This promoter wont work with that promoter. This guy cant fight that guy because they have exclusive contracts with their networks. Etc. Its one big jumbled mess.Comment
