  • Comments Thread For: Andre Ward's June 20 Ring Return To Land on BET?

WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) announced on Thursday afternoon that he would be making his return to the ring on June 20th at the Oracle in his hometown of Oakland, California against a yet to be-announced opponent. And it's believed that HBO - which employs him as a broadcaster - will not be involved in this event.

Word circulating around the industry is that Roc Nation Sports, which signed Ward to a promotional pact at the beginning of 2015, will be putting him on BET (Black Entertainment Television) - a network with whom they are believed to have entered into a time-buy agreement with.

Wow, Ward is sinking into new depts. Whatever progress he made was lost by being so inactive. What a waste

Andre Ward AKA The Hometown Hero AKA Mr Tune-up AKA Mr B.E.T

He needs to move up to 175lb or he needs the media to rip him a new one

So both Roc Nation and PBC are going to be on BET? I'm pretty sure I saw that PBC would have shows on BET.

The jokes are easy, but I hope putting boxing on all these stations works out. And obviously a Jay-Z agency makes sense for BET.

Hilarious Ward on BET TV Cartoon network

what the hell is BET TV? Some african TV zulu station. How can possibly the world's best fighter and still unknown and horribly mismanaged and misguided be relegated to some cartoon network TV channel if that is what it is called?? A disgrace that Ward is so ****** and inept that Ward is losing millions from bad advice from the hood.
