Except for fear of a hometown decision, I can't see why Ward doesn't agree to fight Froch (wherever Froch wants to fight). And any muscle Froch has developed since their fight in 2012 won't make a difference (look at the 2012 version of Froch and then the 2014 version). So, just maybe Ward will take a tune up fight or two and then decide that the money to be made in the U.K. is too good to pass up.

I agree , Ward should have no real issue fighting Froch anywhere except wherever that was Froch fought Dirrell , because Dirrell won EVERY round and still lost the decision .

GGG gets approved to fight Geale / Murray / Macklin / Stevens / Rosado / Rubio / Monroe and he is a HBO fighter, but ward's opponents get turned down and they can never be as pathetic as the bunch I just mentioned, but blind biased people call out the obvious, but not the underlay - wake up and educate your brain - this is BS double standard shyt...

Those ggg fights are cheaper than the pay ward is wanting.. Plus ggg gets ratings, stays active and has become a bigger star than ward

Aside from whatever people want to think about Ward, he is still, by far, the best in the division and will only find a challenge if he moves up in weight..

Do you have a list of the opponents Ward proposed? No? Didn't think so. I doubt that any one of them was ranked in the top 25 whereas all of those you mention that GGG fought were ranked in the top 10 MW at the time and two of them, Geale and Murray, still are.

And Ward is asking for more money than GGG probably made in total for all the opponents you have listed.

GGG fights 4 times per year, Ward 4 times every 5 years.

No double standard at all. Ward is simply no longer an attraction that any network is willing to pay for. And by the way, Ward's fights were also refused by Showtime.

Good news. Not expecting a big name opponent but hoping he can get some rounds in. If Ward is still formidable then we can (hopefully) look to some great fights ahead. 175, anyone?
