I really want to see Canelo-Cotto and Cotto fighting a legit MW might jeopardize that. I wouldn't even mind seeing Cotto fighting a scrub as a tune-up and then facing Canelo later on in the year.

You guys want Cotto to face a legit opponent but that means risking never seeing a Canelo-Cotto fight.

I have no doubt that the winner of Cotto-Canelo would fight GGG.

To me, this seems like a fight that would only get made if Cotto actually had plans to stay at middleweight. I mean this fight is not PPV worthy and Geale is not known much but a definite challenge. Why would Cotto take this risk if he is just going to vacate the belt before fighting GGG?

Kinda odd how Gary breaks up with RN and is still doing business with them right away. Poor Tureano, he's going to be on the shelf for half a year because of his promoter's ineptness.

I don't know what that was about.

But yea, maybe Roc just desperate right now and they're throwing numbers Shaw likes.

Turreano could still get lucky though and be on the UC against Heiland.... all action brawl

There would be no title at stake between Cotto-Canelo. So no reason for the winner to fight GGG.

Cotto is probably looking for someone to fight that HBO will have no reason to refuse or put conditions on. Picking one of GGG's previous opponents gives Cotto a better bargaining position. He has no interest in fighting either Canelo or GGG at middleweight and he really needs to get back in the ring.

Strange... didn't Cotto said recently that Golovkin's resume is ****? Now Cotto wants to fight Geale who Golovkin beat already.
