I watched it after reading a lot of the comments on here and I was expecting it to be closer.
Algieri was closer to his best than Khan but, Khan still won by at least 4 rounds. It was similar to the Peterson fight in many ways, Algieri realised after 3 rounds that we couldn't out box Khan and so started applying pressure and working the body well, but Khan still landed more, and did enough to win, but he still has most of the weaknesses he's always had. He stayed in front of Algieri too long, and had Algieri had any power he'd have scored at least a couple of knock downs IMO, having said that, the same could be said of Khan, despite all the style, there's seldom any bad intentions behind them.

The first thing I noticed was how small Khan looked compared to Algieri.

Khan gets a lot of credit for throwing flashy combo's that mostly land on opponents gloves and forearms... to his credit though they are soooo fast it's really hard to tell wether he's landing scoring blows in real time... I perosnally just hate his style, its so wack, one dimensional, he just jumps in and flurries and rolls out. Something about the way he "hops" around the ring bothers me too tons of wasted movement.

I had Khan well ahead. He just didn't impress because I was comparing it to Pacquiao's destruction of Algeri and that didn't happen. If Algeri had any power I think he would have ko'd Khan. Algeri showed he's a pretty tough fighter but I still had him losing pretty soundly. With that said I thunk Khan blew his chance to fight Floyd unless Floyd decides he wants to fight somebody he could actually knock out. A KO would be a good way for Floyd to end his career.

That is a rican prospect I see a bright future if given the opportunity to become great. When it comes to prospects, if I notice talent. they will probably good, I am a very tough critic, but this rican has the talent to go far.

I scored the fight 115-113 for Khan. However, it was far from the dominating performance that many expected out of him. Algieri was finding a home for his right hand frequently, if he had any power it wouldn't have ended well for Khan.

Khan had to hold and headlock to win. Had the ref done his job, Khan would have gotten dropped by a guy with 8 KO's....you can bet on that. Another Hymen card with a hyped up boxer getting all the breaks and shit scores he needs to win. Yeah, put that clown in with Mayweather, he will give Floyd his first KO in 7 years.
