I agree with the red poster

115-113 either way is fine by me, though I do think Khan edged it. Impressed with Algieri though - he should definitely stick with Jackson. He's been let out of the cage.

all he needed was better stamina, cause he gave away the 11th and 10th on pure not workingl

      • Khan didn't look mediocre, but Chris Algieri is one heck of a talent.

May be if Algieri had a Masters in School of Hard Knocks and not Clinical Nutrition people would take him more seriously.

khan didnt ook good tonight but i think thats because algeiri made him work,
lot of credit due to algeiri, scorecard were a little out, should have at least been 115 - 113
This was a type of fight Khan needed, i'm glad it wasn't easy. According to John David Jackson, Khan only got serious 3 weeks into camp, they had some inside info

You cant take ur eyes off the ball in this sport, its all or nothing.

Algieri used a lot of head movement, he didnt give Khan room to breath, smothered his work, he was on Khans ass 24/7. The left hook wasnt landing much though, but that right hand did a few times.

Overall Khan still outworked him, landed the more accurate shots, and avoided getting into a brawl/dog fight. That was the first real athletic boxer Khan has fought since Zab. Algieri had a number of tools to trouble Khan with and he used them, but throwing one right hand every 2 or 3 rounds isnt going to win you a fight on the cards.

All I saw was Khan constantly making mistakes and getting hit with left hooks and overhand rights while Algeri went under his shots. The first 3 rounds were arguably Algeri, along with I believe the 6th and 12th. He may have won I believe either the 8th or 9th too but can't remember. Either way, if you score it anything but a close fight you need your eyes checking.

Wanna count how many times Khan put Algeri in a damn headlock as well? Was a shocking performance.
Khan wasn't impressive to me, but imo people are overrating Algieri's effort much as they did Lamont Peterson's in his last fight with Garcia. I pretty much agreed with the two judges who had it a bit wider.

It means the Algieri under John David Jackson is better than the Algieri under a bald headed christian evangelist

Algieri needs to head back down to 140, he'd give Danny Garcia, Broner a run for their money

it came across like khan was just cherry picking an easy fight just so he could lockdown the mayweather fight,
it ended up being a fight where he didnt look so good, anyone think it might have backfired???
I think Khan looking not so good, favors him in the Floyd sweepstakes

                    That scorecard clearly states Fortuna-Vasquez.

Yeah I know (hence it not being in your quote), but I did have it wider than the 7-5s I'm seeing.
