      What changed?
You were right; Algieri was an ESPN fighter then and he still is. The Pac haters actually believed Chris had a chance at the big upset over the #2 P4P, so they built him up above ESPN level. Some of the Pac lovers couldn't bear that their hero was lowering himself to fight an ESPN fighter, so they built Chris up too. However, after Pac thoroughly whipped Algieri, the fantasy that he was an elite challenger evaporated. We are now in a state of reality, where Algieri is relegated to his true status as an ESPN fighter. Khan could have definitely chosen better.

This is absolutely ridiculous! How does Algeri go from ESPN, barely surviving a fight with Provodnikov, then get a fight with Manny Pacquiao and now Amir Khan? WTF??? Not only is Khan NOT a prospect for the May vs. Pac "winner," he is now not a prospect for the May vs. Pac "loser."

Ok it goes a little something like this. He beat Emmanuel Taylor who was in and around the top 10 in the rankings at the time. And then he fought ruslan who damn near knocked out and almost decisioned Tim Bradley. I dont get the people who say the fight was so close. The only reason the scores were close was because of the first round. The seco d round could have go e either way. From that point on i didn't see a round that anyone could have possibly gave to provodnikov. He was thoroughly dominated and outboxed, and algieri had his head snapping back all night. He was the wbo champion and ring magazine number 3 at jww which he still is at. He got thoroughly dominated by pacquiao but who doesn't. Even Brandon Rios was bragging on esnews "at least I didn't get knocked out" same could be said for algieri.

He is going to try to do better than Pacquiao.

Talk about a fight where no one in their right mind gives a damn about seeing. Should be a decent track meet since both guys run for 12rounds. Khan wants a fight with Floyd but is too chicken to fight anyone in the top 5. This boy Khan put the B in BUM......

The thought of Algieri pulling off the upset and getting a fight with Mayweather next

Currently praying to the boxing gods that we see Brook vs Thurman and the winner of that fight gets the winner of MayPac later this year.
