Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer for WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has rejected the recent statements made by Hall of Fame coach Freddie Roach and Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum.

Mayweather is currently training for a May 2nd super-fight against WBO champion Manny Pacquiao, who is trained by Roach and promoted by Arum.

In a recent video on BoxingScene.com, Roach claimed Mayweather was getting busted up in training camp by sparring partners. A few days ago, in an article posted on BoxingScene, Arum revealed that he was given information that Mayweather was "not doing great" in camp.

That's what it seems like. Since this fight has been announced, we've been getting quotes of this nature almost on a daily basis mainly from Roach. They don't sound too confident to me, I think Pac has people around him that don't truly believe he can win and all this is to unsettle Floyd or just reaching to find areas of weakness to gain some confidence.

Having said that, the fighters prob don't care about any of this BS and are just focused on preparing for the fight.

Roach is banking on Mayweather legs not holding up and he giving chances to Pacquiao by laying on the ropes. Roach has been screaming about Mayweather's legs being shot for 5 years. Roach doesn't prepare for a fighters strengths but focuses on how he can exploit their weaknesses and that has always been his game. I think because of style Floyd is going to beat Manny up. Floyd holds all of the advantages going into this fight and has the tools and smarts to negate and offset Manny. Floyd might even TKO Manny if he doesn't play it safe and coast to a UD.
