  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Brook Dislikes Khan, Wants To Blast Him Cold!

Amir Khan wants a "winner takes all" showdown with British rival Kell Brook - but has told the IBF welterweight champion he will have to wait.

Amir Khan has told Kell Brook he must wait for a domestic super-fight as he continues to target a showdown with Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao.

Khan is set to name his next opponent in the coming days with pressure building on him to face Brook, who defended his IBF welterweight title in impressive style on Saturday with a fourth-round stoppage of Jo Jo Dan.

While Khan is open to a possible clash in the future, he still has his sights set on Mayweather or Pacquiao, who lock horns in Las Vegas on May 2.

It's pretty darn clear Khan doesn't want it with Ezekiel. if it's not Broner, Thurman, or Bradley then I don't see a better opponent than Brook. There really is nothing to defend from a business standpoint.

Agree, "it wil happen one day if Kell really wants to fight me" How thick is this guy? Kell has been stalking him in the same manner brains has been stalking Mayweather. Is Con so deluded he thinks everyone is joking ,I have to agree with the above, the only thing Khan is defending here is his chin ....end of !
And Broner has proved he is good up to lightwelter then can't cut it so expect Broner.

Why does Hearn talk so much? Arum and DLH like to talk too but I've never seen a bigger attention whore promoter than Hearn (okay, except Don King), but seriously there was the Degale-Dirrell topic, Degale and Dirrell talked too but Hearn talked way more then both of them. Brook-Khan situation --> same.

I don't see how this is still getting so much air time... Khan is blatantly avoiding Brook as he doesn't really need him right now and rightly feels in the position of power. Brook/Hearn are trying literally every tactic to goad him into it from reverse psychology to compliments to trying to belittle him. Its worth big money, but Khan's net worth is meant to be £15-20m, so I don't think a £4m payday (half of which will go to the taxman due to UK tax laws) is unmissable for him right now. Khan has a serious worldwide profile for a UK fighter who has been KO'd a couple times, is seen as a money fight at 147lbs still AND is a potential Mayweather or Pac opponent. So when you look at the facts only, Khan holds all the aces and he knows it, all Brook has atm is an alphabet title and a promoter pulling his hair out (then having it surgically reinserted) to put another fight on at Wembley....

Truth. Hearn and Roach are the two biggest trash talkers, but don't actually do any fighting... Its jarring af

Khan is just using the Mayweather blueprint to hype this fight. He's gonna make Kell wait a year or two so the hype builds up. Khan has already made himself to be the bad guy in this fight.

Next to Arum, Hearn is probably the next talking jerk who talks out of his as.s. You call it attention whore promoter, I don't see it that way, I see a promoter just like Arum who sees nothing but money especially now that his fighter is a hot commodity. But I 'll tell u what, I kind of agree with Khan a little bit not necessarily by what he says but just by the logic of how things should be. Brook is the champ, in my eyes he acts a little too desperate to fight Khan. That does nothing but hurt even at the negotiating table.

We say Khan needs to do more at welterweight, guess what Brook needs to do more as well. The fight will be bigger than the line if they both fight quality opponents and keep winning. You beat Shawn Porter, that's just one good fighter on your resume. It almost makes it sound like Brook is trying to cash out his championship before he loses it to a quality fighter. I mean fight a Thurman, a Bradley, a Rios and I guarantee if he comes through those fights, he 'll be the one making the demands in the Khan fight.

You are full of sheite. Bob Arum talks to the media more than any promoter ever. It's not even close.
