Wow. NY needs to get with the times. MMA is a part of regular sport culture now. NY is still in the stone age when it comes to this. Thank God MMA is legal in California. Are there any other states where MMA is illegal.

I believe New York is the only state where it's illegal. I think there might be a province in Canada where it's also illegal.

while I do not care at all for MMA(meaning any and all), and also have a number a things that make me want to vomit perhaps(knees to head, ground pounding even if the guys cant really punch), **** makes me cringe but how silly of NY and i wonder what motives there really are going on with that.

anyone here maybe know if any other state has a ban on MMA?

It's pretty much FACT your mental health and brain are more at risk then boxing. It's possible in MMA to not take a single punch and win within 30 seconds with a submission. Not to mention boxing gloves cause more head trauma because your taking hundreds of head shots EVERY FIGHT with blunt force gloves, not to mention MMA causes more exterior damage because of elbows and knees so your face looks worse but you take WAAAAY YYY less blows to the head. FACT

In MMA you end up with aches and stuff because of rolling around on mat etc, but in boxing you're in constant trauma due to sparring, which is an integral part of training. I mean just look at the death toll of both sports.

I don't watch much MMA but they are on "our" team on this issue. Don't forget the same bleeding heart commie housewives call to ban boxing every time a fighter gets hurt.
