Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn Sees Kell Brook as The New Carl Froch

Eddie Hearn is trying to secure the perfect fight for Carl Froch, but he also believes that British boxing is in good hands should “The Cobra” retire later this year. Froch is toying with the idea of fighting middleweight boss Gennady Golovkin, there is also the issue of his WBA mandated fight with Andre Ward as well as his lingering desire to tackle Julio Cesar Chavez in a Las Vegas swansong.

... Hearn also promotes young Anthony Joshua who holds a fair chance to surpass both Froch and Brook in terms of boxing performance and fame...

They are hoping that by continually associating Brooks name to the top fighters, they can elevate him to that level without Brook having to earn it like those guys all have. There are guys on my street that have have more foridable opponents than Brook has.

Exactly, thats what they're doing now by making people believe Khan is scared of Brook, like how Arum made people believe Floyd was scared of Pacquiao.

Khan is not interested. Marquez is no longer available. Thurman is not on their radar screen. So who is he fighting next?

He could line up guys like Berto, Judah, Malignaggi, Mosley and all the other dilapidated ones to maintain his winning record.

I have no problem with Rios, though.

Brook and his manager are obsessed with Khan doe.

"Kell is the perfect replacement as the star of British boxing--he has the ability to beat the very best,".... Hearn

Khan is the best in the division... what a joke.

                Thurman is available.

He beat Porter slightly in an ugly hugfest and he destroyed a no name Jojo Dan --> He is the new Froch.
                  Well, good to know it.
He is a good fighter for sure but c'mon with this bullshit Hearn...!

What he means is that Brook has the potential to take Carl Froch's place as the biggest name and money maker in Hearn's stable. He is certainly the heir apparent with Anthony Joshua the next in line.
