He shouldn't be. I think that current fighters like ambition in that sense. They should want a trainer who is willing to work with them full time, not a trainer who sees them as a side project.

Perhaps folks on here can make their disdain of Freddie Roach a tad bit less obvious...If Ruslan was unhappy he wouldn't be paying Roach his fees...yet there he is happy and satisfied but go ahead and criticize it some more.

Roach wasn't there when Provodnikov got the biggest win of his career against Alvarado.

He was there when he got his **** boxed off by Chris Algieri though.

I agree with this 100%

Go back and watch the Prov/Alvarado fight and Marvin is giving EXCELLENT instructions in the corner and Prov is following them to a T.

Now watch the Algieri fight.. Roach is seriously like, "Uhhh.. OK.. We might be losing.. Uhh, throw more punches?" .. It's almost like he didnt care. Prov is the kind of fighter who listens to his corner and I think Freddy really let him down in that fight. Freddie was coaching him up at all.
