Hbo needs to stop buying top ranks garbage. Hbo when they buy non top rank fights are good. Like provo v Mattysse or pascal vs kov but then they put thrash like rios alvarado and Dulorme vs Crawford wtf

I voted for HBO but the gap is closing. To me were talking inches not feet which is a good thing.

Right now it's Al Haymon who holds all the cards. Therefore HBO could very well be the odd boxing entitity out, since Al with his 200 some fighters is purchasing air time on every major tv network both locally and on cable that is not named HBO. Now it's only a matter of time if hehas not already don e so to tap into the Foxsports market as well.

Thurman vs Guerrero and Broner vs Molina were great match ups on paper so props to Haymon for letting them happen but I don't think anything else this year is topping Lucas vs Ruslan action wise. So they win by default.

Plus what the hell does it matter anyway? THIS IS THE BEST BOXING YEAR IN YEARS! Who cares where it's coming from?

We finally get Manny vs Floyd, Lucas vs Ruslan, Guerrero vs Thurman and sometime this year we will either get Wilder vs Fury or Wlad, or Fury vs Wlad. Also Cotto vs Canelo will happen by the end of the year as well.

If anything Haymon is not maxing out the potential greatness of this year by letting Quillin and Danny continue to disappoint us. Hopefully they step it back up by years in because they had the worst years last year. Hopefully Stephenson has the balls to face Kovalev, and Khan grows the balls to fight Thurman or Brook to earn the winner of Floyd and Manny.

This year has the potential to be one of the best ever but it's up to there companies to put there egos aside and make it all happen because if they do, boxing could easily be back as a top mainstream sport in the US again.

Not even close in any way. So many of their fights last year were scuppered by Haymon's reptilianism. Golovkin vs Chavez, Kovalev vs Stevenson, GGG Quillin etc. So 2013 wasn't a bad year by choice for HBO.
