Why is GGG too big for Floyd?...Canelo wasn't.

you seriously believe that GGG can make 154 healthy?? if so, why has he spent his entire career fighting in a division with no money fights or skilled fighters?? instead of fighting on the same division as canelo or floyd he picks the division full of tomato cans with little to no fanbase... just cuz ggg chooses not to rehydrate a lot doesnt mean he cant... water weight is not the same as muscle weight...
he probably would do it for pac/floyd money.Comment

A post? There are way way more than just one post buddy!
Before this fight with Manny was getting serious, Floyd fans were salivating thinking that there was going to be a fight between Floyd vs Cotto at 160lbs.
Then when people said "why not GGG?", the threads went silent. No Floyd fans in sight.Comment

he must not feel like making 154 healthy, of course any fighter will drain him self to get a shot at a huge money fight...
but if thats the case then move down and beat some names like lara, andrade, etc.. to earn a shot at the big money fights...Comment

Canelo is 5' 8", shorter reach, 154lb titlist(at the time), and a fight that was demanded by the public, with Mayweather-DLH esque hype to it(and eventually similar PPV numbers). Mayweather has fought at 154 twice by the time. GBP/Schaefer/Haymon easy to make the fight.
GGG is 5' 10", good reach, MW champ, more powerful than Canelo, Floyd never fought a MW, never fought above 150lbs. The public is not asking for Mayweather vs GGG because they don't even know who he is.
Even anti-Mayweather fans are just faintly asking for it just now as a response of disbelief that Mayweather-Pacquiao is happening. They want to plant that seed in now for when Floyd beats Pacquiao, the saga continues of who Floyd is ducking or who he is afraid of. Might as well start now, the fight is a month away and anti-Floyd fans need that new "face" for Mayweather the "heel".Comment

For a guy who drops 5-10 lbs to make 160 Golovkin's weight is astoundingly exaggerated on these forums. He's usually being matched up with large 168s and 175s.
Me I'm not that eager for either one, I'd rather see him unify MW then have whatever superfights he wants perhaps when Ward is more active (there's zero chance Floyd will fight him).
But nonetheless people seem to forget he's under 6 ft and barely cuts from his 30 day weight. In the photos of him and Canelo they look the same size, Canelo even looks a bit "thicker".Comment

According to GGG, YES. Against Murray he was 158 pounds at the weigh-in. GGG said it's only four more pounds to lose and he could easily do it. He obviously prefer to fight in the MW division but he's not a big MW and would be able to come down to 154 for the right kind of fight. If GGG could land a super fight against Floyd he would do it in a heartbeat.Comment

he would have done it long time ago with the likes of floyd, cotto or canelo he chooses a division full of tomato cans...
he must not feel like making 154 healthy, of course any fighter will drain him self to get a shot at a huge money fight...

he probably chose 160 because it's what's most comfortable for him.
he doesn't have to move up or down unless he wants to.
besides what makes you think he'll get any of those fights just for being 154?
MW is one of boxing's prestigious divisions. no point leaving it if he doesn't want to.Comment
